Kuala Lumpur Reading Festival 2026

In a world that demands our constant attention, finding a quiet corner to sit with a good book feels like a rare and beautiful rebellion.
That’s what the organiser promises in the two-day celebration of reading for the distracted generation.
The idea is to slow down, unplug, and rediscover the joy of missing out, and the pleasure of being fully present.
There will be more than 30 booths featuring booksellers, independent publishers, and book lovers
Books in Malay, English and Chinese will be on sale.
The festival will feature:
–  Author talks
– Book clubs
– Open mic sessions
– Conversations with publishing and literary professionals
– A 24-hour bookstore experience
– Phone-free challenges
– A sunrise book walk
– Improvised poetry creation
– Live music performances
– And suprises
